Should phones be banned at school?

Many schools in Brazil are discussing this question. On the one hand, phones can be useful tools for research. In addition, students can use them to contact their families in an emergency.

On the other hand, phones are a big distraction. Some students check social media during class, so they don't pay attention to the teacher. Moreover, some schools say that students talk and play more during breaks when phones are not allowed.

However, banning phones completely may not be the best solution. In conclusion, I believe schools should create clear rules for phones. Although this is not easy, it is fair for everyone.
